This just in! @verizon isn’t shutting down the 3G network that powered all those @greenlots chargers in NC after all. The new owner of the machines has been notified, and is looking into if they can get these machines back online with greenlots. Unfortunately, they’re so old and (as I previously reported) one-off in design that they don’t support the current Open Charge Point Protocol and as a result no one wants to work with them and no developer is willing to take on the task of writing code for a deprecated system. Amazing how 1920s era motorcycles and full size ebikes of today have so much structure in common, with the major exception of the source of power and type of motor!

Photo on the left is a 1920s era Triumph, and on the right is a Harley Davidson MC in the background with a Sondors fat tire ebike in the foreground.

Nissan has a series plug-in hybrid based on the Versa Note platform. Sure is a lot like BMW i-Series but with a larger gas tank and 3 cylinder instead of two cylinder motorcycle engine. It gets just under 90MPGe! See MoreSee Less

I had a great interaction with this company. They have helped me to select an EV, which was overwhelming to me. I recommend them! Lots of support and information, a couple of long helpful phone calls with a very professional person. www.chargedfuture.com/shop/ See MoreSee Less
